Donna Riddington

Donna Riddington is a multidisciplinary artist and graphic designer from Aotearoa / New Zealand, based in Ramsgate.

Donna is interested in exploring strands of cultural thinking around interpretations of landscape knowledge – particularly what is framed as nature conservation, sublime appreciation, access/rights and notions of ‘home’.

Archives and letter and image collections, are sources of inspiration. Her art practice is drawing-based. She combines layers of paint, text, pencil and graphite to piece together narrative possibilities from stories, dreams, encounters with nature and shared spaces.

Recent exhibitions include shows in England, Scotland, Aotearoa / New Zealand, Estonia, and Germany.
